On 30 and 31 July 2016, the International Historic Festival (IHF) is being organised in Panningen for the 37th time by the Dutch Historic Motorbike and Tractor Association. This year will once again offer plenty of reasons for people of all ages to visit.
This has been mainland Europe's largest festival / gathering of collectors and enthuiasts since 1980 and it attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world. Over 1,200 international collectors display and demonstrate their (agricultural) machinery dating from the end of the 19th century up to approx. 35 years ago. This amounts to more than 2,500 tractors, stationary engines, threshers, motorbikes, very old cars and lorries, caravans, mechanical equipment, vintage processing machines and many other types of household, agricultural and horticultulal machines. The miniature display and demonstrations of old crafts as well as the large market will once again be a feature of this year's IHF.
