Sandton Château De Raay

Sandton Château De Raay is a unique, fully restored castle hotel in which the focus is on luxury, ambiance and art. The 13-hectare estate has been the residence of illustrious families since 1236. The splendid mansion was used by nuns as a convent from 1937 until 1999. After extensive renovation work lasting four years, Sandton Chateau de Raay opened its doors to the public in 2005. Sandton Château de Raay is one of the most exceptional hotels in The Netherlands and Europe.

HOTEL
The fully restored hotel rooms exude a pure and welcoming atmosphere, and are fitted to the height of luxury. The spacious bathrooms are extremely stylish by any standards. Thanks to the artistic support of the Art Center de Raay, the 50 luxury hotel rooms all feature beautiful works of art. RESTAURANT
Restaurant  ‘De Wintertuin’ (The Winter Garden) is situated in Castle De Raay's former inner courtyard. In this luxury restaurant, top chef Dylan van Hirtum has a firm grasp of the reins, serving a high-end international menu. In his splendid kitchen, special dinners and cookery evenings can be held by arrangement at the specially designed Chef´s Table.

Our fully sheltered waterside terrace is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a high tea, glass of wine, a snack or a meal after an invigorating bike ride or walk through the breathtaking scenery of Peel en Maas.

Situated in the cellars beneath the castle is the Winebar. This intimate yet welcoming venue is the ideal setting for an aperitif or to savour a really good wine. In addition, wine-tasting sessions can be arranged here for groups.
